Melmaruvathur miracle

Once there lived a disciple in Cheyyur. He used to do service in Melmaruvathur temple often. One day he died. His wife rushed to Adigalar and surrendered to him totally. She wept and begged him for her husband’s soul.

Adigalar told her, “I will come to your rescue because you didn’t go to hospital and did not seek others help. You approached me with full confidence.” Then he gave a lemon to her and asked her to pour the essence to his mouth. She did as he said. And at once he stood up as though he slept till that time.

Then he lived for ten more years and did service to the temple. It is believed by devotees that Bangaru Adigal is none other than the super power mother Devi Adhiparasakthi herself.

Song 22 in Adhiparasakthi thirupalliezuchi (a song sung to wake up the goddess in the early morning) has this information
