Curry leaves powder for calcium deficiency
Some people when they bite an apple they would see blood strain in the apple. The blood comes from their teeth gums. For some when they brush their teeth using a toothbrush blood comes out from the teeth gums. It is commonly found in youngsters and the old alike. The root cause of this is calcium deficiency. This problem can be solved using the curry leaves (also known as karuveppilai / karivepilai / kari patta / karivepaku).
Karuveppilai podi (curry leaves powder)
Take a kg of kariveppilai (curry leaves). Take only the leaves. Keep it under hot sun for up to 10 days. It will become like baspam (powdered effect caused due to the exposure of sun rays). Then take 1 cup of tuvaram parupu (lentils / daal) and 1 medium sized dried ginger (sukku). Remove the skins of dried ginger add a few drops of water and smash it using ammi / mixer. Take a thava and put oil in it. Put the smashed ginger in oil and add tuvaram parupu. Fry them moderately. Then grind it separately in a mixer. Now grind the kariveppilai separately. Once Kariveppilai is well grind add the other powder (containing tuvaram parupu and dried ginger). Mix both the powders and grind it once again. This is called Kariveppilai podi.
Daily before eating other items like sambar sadham etc eat rice mixed with kariveppilai podi. Add salt and a few drops of oil (or ghee if you prefer) for taste. Eat curd rice at the end of a meal or drink lots of buttermilk to cool off the heat that may be produced by dried ginger (sukku). This Karuveppilai podi is rich in calcium. Teeth gums will become stronger. Gums won’t bleed after you start eating Karuveppilai podi sadham.
Use this kariveppilai podi daily and you will have no problem with your teeth till your last days. Kariveppilai is good for hair growth. Some girls even in their younger age exhibit white / grey hair. This can be prevented by eating Kariveppilai podi regularly. The curry leaves helps in strengthening bones.
