THE LOCAL BSNL PROVIDING WLL CDMA WITH LG USB MODEM. BUT I HAVE VISTA OS WITH MY LAPTOP. VISTA COULD NOT MANAGE IT SELF WITH GIVEN DRIVER WITHE SAID MODEM.PLEASE SUGGEST PROCESS SHALL I CONNECT INTERNET IN VISTA BASED LAPTOP WITH BSNL WLL CDMA (LG USB MODEM).

Please contact nearest BSNL office for WLL / CDMA wireless internet. Only after repeated inquiries they will heed to your request. The delay in getting a connection may be due to the less number of people opting for internet connection in your area.

The EVDO card is not slow as you mentioned. I am using EVDO card at Kerala and getting a speed of 1.3 to1.7 Mbps.
and for rural areas BSNL is providing highspeed internet of 144kbps@30 paise per minute, else u can go for 250 per month unlimited. better than others

Wireless connection at jammu is sometimes good and sometimes sucking,anyhow unlimited useage at rs 250 /pm is really good

the evdo card is not that slow.it varies speed but it is good when signal is strong.its speed is around 144-172kbps

Thanks for the information on EVDO.

Normal broadband is the best, no doubt. But where there is no broadband coverage this kind of slow internet is the only available option.

EVDO is being used here at my office and honestly speaking it sucks. basically every wireless net provider in India sucks. Go fro the BSNL broadband which is ofcourse a fixed line connection, but its the cheapest in town and the best for money spent.
