10 easy ways to get a good night’s sleep
1. Eat nutritious, easily digestible, fiber rich food. (Greens, finger millets, vegetables, fruits)
2. An hour of relaxed walk in the early morning or evening preferably in fresh air.
3. See to it that you get good amount of drinking water. Every time you finish a meal or snack drink at least 1 glass of water.
4. If you are suffering from anemia (lack of hemoglobin in blood) you won’t get good sleep. Try different ways to keep anemia away from you.
5. If you don’t have the habit of drinking coffee or tea daily then do not have them before going to sleep. Both coffee and tea are said to keep you awake. So you won’t get sleep easily. if you are coffee or tea addicted already then do have only a light dosage (more milk with less decoction) especially before going to sleep. Plain milk with no sugar added is the ideal beverage that anybody can take before going to bed.
6. Keep your bedroom or wherever you sleep mildly lit and clean. Keep the place airy.
7. Do not indulge yourself in chocolates, ice creams, sweets or heavy meal before going to sleep.
8. Keep your mind clean and worry free before going to bed.
9. Wear light clothing preferably cotton if you are in a hot climate region.
10. Keep the habit of going to bed on a particular time. Even if you don’t feel sleepy just lie down and close your eyes.
