Riya - unlimited photo storage, sharing online free
Riya is a site where you can store and share unlimited photos online. The images when downloaded for offline usage are scaled down a bit. A photo uploader (44 MB approx) (windows) is to be installed after signing up. Riya Uploader, as it is called uploads automatically all the photos in a particular folder directly to Riya.com. We need to specify the folder full of photos and the photos are uploaded automatically. Faces in the photos are spotted using face recognition technology and we need to give the person’s name so that the software learns. Images can either be kept public or private. Links to images are provided so that they may be linked directly from blogs.
Flickr provides a similar service but with a limited storage of 20 MB every month. Paid flickr members get more storage for 25 $ approx per year whereas Riya offers free for unlimited photos. If you have lots and lots of photos to store online then Riya may be the right choice.
Riya is in beta phase and does not support Opera browser.
