K-Meleon Lightweight Fast Browser
K-Meleon is a browser based on gecko (mozilla) and it works under windows platform. Its very similar to Mozilla Firefox but with a lesser memory consumption. You will find K-Meleon even more faster than firefox. Regarding privacy it has the best privacy protection just like that of firefox. To delete internet traces in K-Meleon use
Tools >> Privacy >> Clear All
Temporary Internet files, cookies, cache etc, can also be erased automatically every time when you exit K-Meleon. This can be achieved by visiting
Tools >> Privacy >> settings
K-Meleon offers tabs for surfing multiple pages. The tabs are known as layers in K-Meleon. The toolbar and menu can be customized. Popups are blocked automatically without any notification. Firefox by default blocks popup and notifies us by showing
“Firefox prevented this site from opening a popup window”
This message is not showed in K-Meleon.
Flash elements can be blocked and Java is supported in K-Meleon.
