If you have downloaded files from Megaupload, Rapidshare etc you would already know the troubles of downloading huge files. Either you need to get a premium account or wait continuously for hours. Even after the wait you cannot use your download manager. If the download gets interrupted then it has to be started again afresh. Adding to the existing woes you need to enter a number verification manually. Mostly your download won’t succeed if the file is bigger and your internet connection is slower.

Rapget works like a download manager for downloading those huge files from sites such as megaupload.com. First set up your download directory

Setting >> General >> Download to Folder >> Click “Browse” and select “Desktop”.

Then you need to copy the download URL. Open Rapget and paste the URL exactly. Click on plus (+) symbol at the right. The URL will be added to the main box like area. Now click the first button at the top just below ‘Links’ menu. If you hover your mouse over that button, it will show you ‘Start/Stop’. Press that button. Your download will start after an initial countdown done automatically.

The advantages of using Rapget are

• Resume Support - Even if your download gets interrupted due to power failure or system crash even then it could be resumed from the point where it was left.
• No need to wait - You need not wait seeing this message i.e., the number of slots allotted for your country is full. Try again after sometime.
• Bypass Number verification - Lastly you need not enter the number verification especially after the time delay.
• Simultaneously download files from the same domain.

There are some more options like proxy setup, download speed etc which you can optimize according to your wish by going to Settings >> sub tabs.
