I visited Abhirami temple in Tirukadaiyur a month age.Now there is a big lodge [Abhirami Lodge] just near the temple…Mayavaram or Mayiladuthurai , a big railway junction, is about 20 kms from thirukadaiyur and quality hotels are available there.You can take trains from there to Chennai and also direct train to Bangalore.
You can also visit or stay in Chidambaram , 30 km from Mayiladuthurai , about 40 km from Thirukadaiyur.
The Christian shrine of Annai Velankanni is also closeby,about 50 km from Thirukadaiyur…This shrine is quite famous and lot of Hindus visit this shrine.
