Three Must-Do things after you did fresh windows installation. In order to protect the file system, it is better to install these things before installing any other software.

1) Firewall: A firewall exposes every internet activity to you. Only if you approve applications are allowed to access the internet. So, install the best firewall. A free version of ZoneAlarm is available for download. This is recommended.

2) Antivirus: Viruses get inside your system someway or the other. To protect the system you need to have the best antivirus. 3) AntiSpyware: A firewall and antivirus will not suffice without a powerful spyware detector these days. To keep these spyware, malware, adware, Trojans etc, you need Ad-Aware, the best spyware detector. But it will never detect spyware automatically (free version). You need to use Ad-aware and scan the system atleast every week or more frequently. This will keep the unwanted spyware away from the system.
