Why use Thunderbird as a RSS reader?
There are plenty of desktop RSS readers available (both shareware and freeware). Some of the disadvantages of these RSS readers are listed below.
- You need to have Dot Net framework (.net) installed, which is not necessary for a simple RSS reader.
- Some of the free RSS readers lack in features. Or they might have bugs.
- The ones which work pretty well may ask for registration for continued usage.
- Some RSS readers consume a lot of memory of your PC.
But Mozilla Thunderbird works smoothly without any limitation for the user. Since the RSS reader is integrated with Email client, it makes things easy. If you are still trying out various RSS readers then its time you give thunderbird a chance for managing your RSS subscriptions.
