ClamWin Free Antivirus is a fully featured completely free antivirus for the windows platforms. A lot of antivirus software are available like Norton Antivirus, McAfee etc but they work only for a limited time after which you have to pay without which they cease to update the virus databases.

The only draw back of ClamWin Antivirus is it cannot be configured to check files as they are opened or executed. This feature is commonly called “on-access scanning”. You have to manually scan for viruses in the system at constant intervals. But considering the free factor of this antivirus, it is really worth installing this software.
