Speed
It is one of the most cherished hollywood movies till now. Speed (1994) starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock deals with just two incidents.
In many Tamil films film titles doesn’t coincide with the story. But in this film as the name suggests there is “Speed” throughout the movie.
Also the way in which the director has taken the movie is really admirable. A bomb is placed in the lift. The people who are in the lift are caught midway. They are unable to escape. Keanu Reeves comes to their rescue and saves them.
Another incident which forms the main plot of the movie is that the culprit places a bomb on a bus. The bus is fully occupied by passengers. The bomb gets switched on when the speed of the bus crosses 50 miles per hour. The sad part is that if the bus slows down below 50 miles an hour speed then the bomb will burst. How Jack (Keanu Reeves) saves the passengers in the bus and how he catches the culprit (Dennis Hopper) forms the rest of the story.
The film has a number of action sequences in which Keanu Reeves has done extraordinarily well. Sandra Bullock drives the bus making the audience sit at the tip of the seat. With its realistic stunts and excellent directorial techniques Speed remains to be one of the best Hollywood action movies.
Speed is necessary in everybody’s life in order to reach their wishes. You might have seen amidst the traffic signals boards showing “Don’t Speed”. But while watching this movie you will realize how speed saves the lives of people. Do you feel the need for speed now?!
