Firefox Bookmarks
There are two ways to bookmark a site in Firefox browser. Let us see them one by one.
1) Simple Bookmarking - This is very simple as the name suggests. Visit the website URL. Wait for the site to load. Then click
Bookmarks >> Bookmark This Page (Ctrl+D)
It’s that simple.
Tip: After bookmarking the site, go to “Bookmarks” and right click the name of the site bookmarked and click properties. In the properties window there will be “Keyword” and a box after it. Fill the box with a short name Example - if you had bookmarked this blog “ITLY PONGAL VADAI SAMBAR” then you may type itly in the keyword box and click Ok. Now whenever you type itly and press enter this page will load. Similarly you can set keywords for different websites. Thus you need not type the full URL for different websites.
2)Live Bookmark - You may have noticed a rose button at the right end of the status bar when you come across some websites. This means that there is a feed available for that site. Click on the rose button and select “Subscribe to the site”. After this you can see the latest headlines updated live when you go to
Bookmarks >> Name of the site
This is very useful for keeping updates with your favorite blogs and websites. Thus firefox works similar to an RSS aggregator.
