Effects of Overpopulation
One of the main problems that India faces is population explosion. Population in India may beat China very soon. India is a poor country financially. The income per family is less when compared to that of any other developed country.
The excessive population in India can be seen everywhere. Thus traffic is blocked. Paradoxically, Unemployment and underemployment prevails in the society. Generally, only because of overpopulation corruption exists. The government offices demand money in the name of bribes, while the private bodies accept money in the name of donations. Thus in India, the poor people remain always the poor and the rich people remain always rich.
Many Indians as well as foreigners have criticized about the poor condition of roads in India. It is still a problem not solved. Though the governments says that it spends hefty amounts year after year for building and maintaining roads. The roads in India are still in a very bad condition.
Overpopulation, if not controlled, can destroy all types of development. Imagine if a child in US of America eats 4 itlies for herself while while they are shared by three or four children in India. This will make them undernourished.
The Indian government is not even able to provide even pure drinking water for the masses. There is scarcity of drinking water in some parts of India especially Chennai. The busses are full most of the time. People even stand in the doorsteps of busses. Pollution in India is more than anywhere else.
The only thing in which India improves dramatically is multiplying its population. Only because of overpopulation most of the people are devoid of mental peace. Since the competition is very stiff, many people are unable to lead a happy life. All want to earn money but due to severe competition they are unable to satisfy their wishes and dreams. People have started running after money neglecting love and peace.
